Building Supply Chain Integrity Through Structured Traceability and Anti-Counterfeit Controls

Traceability & Anti-Counterfeit: Securing the Integrity of Every Connection

For Purchasing Managers and Quality Assurance engineers, component authenticity and traceability are essential to program integrity. At Guanitron, our manufacturing and quality processes are implemented in alignment with AS9100D principles and SAE AS6174 anti-counterfeit guidelines, ensuring that every connector is produced, documented, and controlled through a disciplined framework.

From raw material sourcing to final delivery, Guanitron applies structured traceability and anti-counterfeit controls designed to support high-reliability and defense-grade applications.

1. End-to-End Lot Traceability

Guanitron maintains structured lot-level traceability throughout the manufacturing process to support accountability and controlled quality management.

  • Raw Material Verification
Metals and polymers are sourced from approved suppliers. Material documentation, such as Material Test Reports (MTRs), is reviewed and retained as part of our internal quality records.

  • Batch Identification & Process Tracking
Each production lot is assigned an internal tracking identifier, enabling traceability to manufacturing equipment, production date, and process records.

  • Documentation & Conformance Records
Shipments are accompanied by Certificates of Conformance (CoC), providing documented confirmation of product specifications and manufacturing controls.

This approach supports timely root-cause analysis and controlled response should any quality inquiry arise.

2. Anti-Counterfeit Controls Aligned with SAE AS6174

To reduce the risk of counterfeit or non-conforming components, Guanitron applies anti-counterfeit practices based on the guidance of SAE AS6174.

Our internal controls include:

  • Material Verification
Analytical methods such as X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) are used to verify material composition against specified alloy requirements.

  • In-House Process Control
Key manufacturing and surface treatment processes are performed in-house, reducing reliance on external subcontractors and limiting exposure to uncontrolled supply chains.

  • Controlled Sales Channels
Products are supplied directly by Guanitron or through authorized distribution channels, supporting transparency and traceability throughout the procurement process.

These measures are designed to support authenticity verification and supply chain confidence.

3. Identification, Marking & Physical Security

To support long-term identification and traceability, Guanitron applies durable marking and packaging practices.

  • Permanent Part Identification
Connectors are marked using laser or equivalent permanent marking methods, including part numbers, lot identifiers, and company identification markings as applicable.

  • Tamper-Aware Packaging
Products are packaged using controlled packing and labeling procedures to help ensure product integrity during shipment and handling.

These practices support product identification throughout the service life of the system.

4. Alignment with Global Compliance Requirements

Guanitron’s quality and supply chain practices are structured to support customer compliance needs across defense and aerospace programs, including:

  • Quality Management Principles aligned with AS9100D methodologies

  • Conflict Minerals Declarations based on supplier disclosures for Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten, and Gold

  • Specialty Metals Considerations aligned with applicable DFARS requirements, where contractually required

Supporting documentation is available upon request to assist customer qualification and audit activities.
