1. Product & Technical Specifications

What international standards do Guanitron connectors comply with?

Our micro-rectangular connectors are engineered to meet or exceed MIL-DTL-83513 requirements.
They are 100% intermateable and interchangeable with internationally recognized Micro-D brands and the J30J series, ensuring seamless integration into global defense and aerospace platforms.


What is “Twist-Pin” technology, and why is it used?

Twist-Pin technology is the core of high-reliability micro-connectors.

Each contact is formed from a bundle of high-performance spring wires that create seven independent points of electrical contact when mated.
This design ensures stable signal continuity under:

  • Extreme vibration

  • Mechanical shock

  • Thermal cycling

Conditions where traditional stamped or machined pins are prone to intermittent failure.


Which shell platings are available for harsh environments?

We offer multiple plating options optimized for different mission profiles:

  • Electroless Nickel
    Ideal for general avionics and industrial electronics

  • Cadmium (Olive Drab)
    The traditional choice for maximum corrosion resistance in legacy military systems

  • Black Zinc Nickel

Is Guanitron ISO 9001:2015 certified?

Yes. Guanitron operates under a Quality Management System certified to ISO 9001:2015.
Our manufacturing and inspection processes are routinely audited to ensure full process control, traceability, and consistency.


Do you offer space-grade connectors?

Yes. For satellite and space exploration applications, we supply space-grade connectors processed to meet NASA and ESA outgassing requirements.

  • Vacuum-baked per ASTM E595

  • Total Mass Loss (TML) < 1.0%

  • Collected Volatile Condensable Materials (CVCM) < 0.1%


What documentation is provided with each shipment?

Every shipment includes a Certificate of Conformance (CoC).
Additional documentation is available upon request, including:

  • Material Test Reports (MTR)

  • Plating Thickness Reports (XRF)

  • First Article Inspection (FAI) reports


3. Customization & Lead Times

Can Guanitron support custom connector designs?

Yes. Customization is one of our core strengths.

Our engineering team typically provides a feasibility review and preliminary design within 3–5 working days.


What are your typical lead times?

  • Custom Solutions: 6–10 weeks, depending on complexity and qualification testing

4. Logistics & International Trade Compliance

How does Guanitron handle ITAR and export controls?

Guanitron has extensive experience with international trade and export control regulations.

We provide:

  • ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) information

  • Support for dual-use and military trade compliance documentation

Are your products RoHS and REACH compliant?
